MUSIC PLAYS AN IMPORTANT PART IN THE LIFE OF THE SCHOOL AND ALL GIRLS ARE ACTIVELY ENCOURAGED TO TAKE PART IN THE MANY AND VARIED MUSICAL ACTIVITIES ON OFFER.

Band- for woodwind, brass, percussion and keyboard players

String Group - string players meet each Thursday and play a varied repertoire

Show Choir – exclusive to year 7 and specialising in arrangements of modern songs

Senior Chamber Choir - specialist choir for year 10 and above

Junior Chamber Choir - specialist choir for years 8 and 9

Senior Choir - open to all girls in year 9 and above, forms the foundation of the choir for the Easter Choral Concert

Junior Choir - years 7 and 8 (who are also taken to Thorpe Park each year as a reward for their hard work)

Consort - a small, invitation only group which aims to stretch the top students of the school

Worship Group - this band features in assemblies and at Mass

Geek Club - handbell ringing for the Christmas concert

Musical - a biannual production with the drama department (most recently The Threepenny Opera, Into the Woods and Guys and Dolls)

Guitar Group - the guitarists meet on Thursday

Percussion Club - the percussionists meet on Tuesday

Theory Club - Lunchtime club on Mondays for beginners through to higher grades

More House Singers - this choir is open to parents, staff and old girls. In addition to its own performances this choir augments the girls' choirs at the Easter Choral Concert

More’s Household - music is a key element in Household events; part of the gifted and talented programme

Annual Easter Choral Concert - over 150 performers, professional orchestra and soloists – recent works have included Mozart’s, Fauré’s and Verdi’s Requiems, Handel's Messiah, Orff's Carmina Burana, Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, Puccini’s Messa di Gloria and Karl Jenkins’ The Armed Man.

Informal Concerts - a chance for all singers and instrumentalists to play in front of a live audience in an informal setting

Music Competition - an annual event which includes prizes and the opportunity to play in our summer concert for the winners

Annual Music Tour - the choir has recently toured to Germany, France, Italy, Malta, Portugal and North America, performing in Notre Dame de Paris and St. Mark's Venice. In the last two years they have sung at St Peter’s Basilica in Rome and St Patrick’s Cathedral in New York. This year we are travelling to Austria and will perform at Salzburg Cathedral and St Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna.
