Views from our Study
Firstly, we would like to share our thoughts on the incident in Parsons Green that took place this morning - our thoughts and prayers are with the injured and with everyone affected by this horrible attack. Mr Keeley emailed all parents in the aftermath of the event, assuring parents that all girls had been accounted for and offering assistance to parents who wished to contact their daughters.
This message was then shared on our website and our social media accounts. We would like to remind all parents that our website, school blog, Facebook, and Twitter accounts are updated regularly and they are an invaluable tool for communicating with parents when incidents like these take place.
It was lovely to see so many of you this week at our Information Evenings (Year 8 – Sixth Form) and we hope that you found them useful. This week, the girls have been settling into lessons, starting their new clubs, and enjoying being back at school with their friends.
The Sixth Form went off to Go Ape on Wednesday afternoon for a bonding experience. They were initially worried they might get blown out of the trees, especially given the strong winds the night before. We also learned that Miss Devine is scared of heights! Congratulations to Molly C (Lower Sixth - Student of the Week) who coaxed and supported many of her friends around the course.
We hope that you will be able to join us at some of the following events taking place over the next few weeks:
Monday 18th September at 6:30 PM - Parents’ Association Meeting
All are welcome to come and join this fun group of parents, who raise funds for the ‘extras’ around school.
Wednesday 20th September at 6:00 PM - New Parents’ Drinks
This event, hosted by the Parents’ Association, is for all new parents whose daughters have recently joined More House. It is the perfect opportunity for you to meet other new parents!

Throughout this term, Mrs Tunnicliffe will be hosting a series of inspiring talks by individuals from a variety of backgrounds. The first one will take place next Wednesday, 20th September, at 4 PM. You can view the programme here on our website. Everyone is welcome and these are free of charge!
Have a wonderful weekend and we look forward to seeing many of you over the next few weeks at our various events.
