More House School is an environment that is highly challenging but low in stress. We are a greenhouse not a hot house and our staff will enable and support your daughter’s development rather than force her learning. We want girls to succeed to the best of their ability academically but we also want them to come to love learning, and to become well – qualified, intellectually curious, thoughtful, ambitious and successful.

74% of our A Level grades were in the A-B range, with 100% being the overall pass rate. The vast majority of our girls secured their first choice university place. One of our girls produced one of the top ten examination performances in Textiles in the whole of the Edexcel entry of just under 1,000 candidates. In addition two of our girls achieved two Merits and one Distinction in AEA language examinations.

At GCSE 100% of our pupils achieved 5 or more GCSEs at A*-C, and our overall pass rate was 95%. This was not achieved by requiring pupils to drop subjects in which they were not expected to achieve a grade C or higher. This approach is not within our educational philosophy. We believe that if one of our girls has followed an examination course for nearly two years and wishes to sit the examination then she deserves that chance. As a result the average number of subjects which our girls sat was 10, the highest this has been for 5 years.
