Year 9 Charity Art Exhibition
Ms Rigby was delighted to host this new event in the art department’s calendar. Year 9 pupils looked at the works of Gerhard Richter, Helen Frankenthaler, and Yayoi Kusama and produced their own abstract paintings in response. Their paintings were then proudly exhibited and sold in this special charity event.
All proceeds went to CRISIS, the national charity for homeless people. It was really wonderful seeing the girls come together to produce work that will contribute positively to the lives of others in wider society. Over £200 was raised in total throughout the evening. We are so grateful to all our guests for attending and especially all our guests who purchases a painting!
Over the course of the evening, all guests were given the opportunity to nominate their favourite painting of the evening. Huge congratulations to India Whitson who won the “People’s Vote”!
