Inter-house Engineering Challenge
A regular inter-house fixture in the autumn term, this year's test was as challenging as ever. Each house team was given ten pieces of A3 paper and 50cm of masking tape, from which they had to design a bridge that would span 30cm. The winning design would be the bridge that could support the most mass.
Canterbury ruled themselves out of the running by trying to hide extra materials within their bridge design, finishing in 4th place. Second and third place were closely fought, with Santiago just finishing in third due to the instability, leaving Iona in second place. The winning design was Walsingham's, which managed to hold an impressive 2.2kg of weight!
