FIA / Enrichment Charity Event

The pupils were incredibly excited about the Faith In Action & Enrichment charity day today whereby they each brought in a monetary donation for homeless children and created personalised Christmas cards during Period 5, when lessons were suspended for all year groups. It was an afternoon of festivity and fun when all forms listened to wonderful Christmas carols and ballads and sang merrily as they created works of art.

Each academic term we choose a different charitable organisation to support as part of the common good and an innate desire to make the world a better place for all to live in. This term the pupils decided that they wanted to fundraise and support the homeless children in London by donating to 'The Cardinal Hume Centre'. Giving to the poor and marginalised lies at the very heart of the Gospel, according to Pope Francis and we couldn't be more proud of the pupils. This was a really wonderful afternoon!

More House raised an amazing £1341.35 for the Cardinal Hume Centre. Well done everyone!

With all the money raised, we were able to purchase 137 vouchers. Each voucher was then placed inside one of the beautiful Christmas cards hand made by our pupils. They are now on their way to the Cardinal Hume Centre where they will be distributed to homeless children this Christmas.
