More House welcomes a New Head

We are delighted to announce that Ms Faith Hagerty will take up the role of Head at the beginning of the Summer Term. Ms Hagerty will join More House from St Augustine’s Priory, Ealing, where she is currently a Deputy Head. With happy memories of her own Catholic education at a West London convent school, Ms Hagerty has a deep understanding of girls’ education with a Christian ethos and a focus on the whole person. In her fourteen years at St Augustine’s Priory, she has successfully relaunched the Sixth Form, grown numbers and improved academic standards whilst maintaining the school’s focus on nurturing the individual. A creative and inspiring leader, she has been responsible for an exceptional extracurricular programme that includes the school’s farm. She has also fostered charitable partnerships with other Catholic schools in West London, most recently joining together to support local foodbanks during lockdown.

Ms Hagerty studied Drama at Bristol University before completing a post-graduate acting diploma at LAMDA. She worked as a professional actor before experiencing a ‘lightbulb moment’ while directing a musical production with disadvantaged children, realising that her calling was to work with young people. She says, “As educators of girls, we are here to prepare them for their futures as leaders and mothers, and to help them embrace the challenges of an ever-changing world. It is this vital nurturing of the individual that generates young women confident and creative enough to channel their strengths and be agents of change. I feel blessed to be stepping into this responsibility at More House, and am grateful for the chance to join such a warm community.”
We are delighted to have appointed a leader whose values, approach and experience so clearly align with those of the school, and look forward to the drive, energy and infectious enthusiasm she will bring with her to the role of Head.
