Susan Sturrock is an arts consultant specialising in classical music. Her current portfolio includes strategic planning, mentoring, fundraising, writing and broadcasting. Until recently  Director  of  Communications  at  the  Royal  College  of  Music,  Susan  was appointed to the Board of Governors of More House School in early 2009.

Susan studied at the Royal College of Music and King’s College, London. She worked for 20 years as an oboist in major orchestras and ensembles, and was founder of the wind quintet Auriga. As editor, author and broadcaster, she has worked for The Times, Classical Music, Dorling Kindersley, the BBC and many individual and corporate clients. In 2012 she founded Music Talks, which organises lecture-recitals, courses and other events for adults and young people across the UK.

Susan is recent past President of the Incorporated Society of Musicians and a trustee of The Leche Trust. She  has  five  adult children, lives in Wimbledon and enjoys opera, contemporary music, travel, food and plants.
