For the week of 21 to 25 June, 22 Year 7 girls and 4 very brave teachers embarked on an adventure to the Isle of Wight. With a schedule jam-packed with adrenaline inducing activities, it was an awesome experience. Once we had set up our rooms, the first activity was archery, which proved very entertaining. Highlights for the rest of the week include the 3G swing, zip lining, abseiling, climbing and the leap of faith! The girls embraced these challenges with courage and resilience whilst offering each other support and encouragement.

We also spent two fantastic afternoons on the beach. Beach adventuring gave the girls the chance to paddle, search the rock pools for sea creatures and try out face painting using the chalk rocks at the base of the cliffs. Bodyboarding was the favourite for many girls and after a series of water-based games, the girls tried to catch the very small waves back to shore.

The girls were complimented by all the instructors on their impeccable manners and on their positive attitudes. Well done to each girl for making it such a memorable time away. A very big thank you must go to the accompanying staff: Miss Gunner, Ms Stojanvic, Mrs Mazewski and Mrs Brett.
