What is a safeguarding concern?

A safeguarding concern is anything that makes you think a child or young person may be at risk of harm. This could include:

  • Physical abuse
  • Sexual abuse
  • Emotional abuse
  • Neglect
  • Bullying
  • Exploitation

If you are a student:

  • If you have any concerns about your own safety or the safety of someone else, please speak to a trusted adult at school, such as your teacher, tutor, or head of key stage.
  • You can also contact the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead, Ms C Phelps, at cphelps@morehousemail.org.uk.
  • If you need to talk to someone outside of school, you can contact the NSPCC helpline on 0800 1111.

If you are a parent:

  • If you have any concerns about the safety of your child, please speak to a member of staff at school.
  • You can also contact the Kensington and Chelsea Safeguarding Children Partnership (LSCP) on 020 7361 3013.

If you are a staff member:

  • If you have any concerns about the safety of a student, please report it to the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead immediately.
