At More House School, girls become confident, independent young women. With a proven track record of success, we support and challenge every girl to reach her full potential.

Academic Challenge and Creative Opportunity

We offer a broad and stretching academic curriculum that encourages girls to think deeply and work with purpose. Our lessons are taught in small classes where teachers really know their pupils, and girls are given the space to take risks and develop intellectual curiosity. Alongside traditional academic subjects, creative thinking is encouraged and critical discussion is part of everyday learning.

The arts are a particular strength at More House. Whether on stage, behind the scenes, in the studio or in a music rehearsal, girls are immersed in opportunities to express themselves and develop their talents. From Year 7, students take part in drama, music and art and for many, these areas become central to their school journey. We are proud of our consistently outstanding results in creative subjects, including 100% Grade 8 in GCSE Music (2024).

Supportive Pastoral Care and SEN Provision

β€œPastorally among the best we have seen and the reason many parents choose this school over others.”  – The Good Schools Guide.Β

While our girls are encouraged to aim high, we are equally focused on their wellbeing. The pastoral care at More House is exceptional. We place great emphasis on building confidence, emotional resilience and mutual respect, helping girls to feel secure and happy in who they are.

For families with daughters who have additional learning needs, our SEN department offers outstanding support. Working closely with teaching staff, our specialist team ensures that every girl is included, understood and able to thrive. We do not see SEN support as something separate, but as part of our inclusive and thoughtful approach to education.

A Rich Life Beyond the Classroom

Beyond the classroom, girls are encouraged to get involved in every aspect of school life. There are clubs, trips, performances, leadership roles and regular House events that bring the school community together. From the first weeks of Year 7, girls begin to build lasting friendships, take on new challenges and find what inspires them.

By the end of Year 11, More House girls are not only well prepared for the next stage of education. Our girls are confident, creative and kind. They leave the Senior School with strong foundations and a clear sense of who they are becoming.

More House Senior School (Years 7 to 11) is where girls begin to grow into the young women they are becoming. We help them thrive through excellent teaching. Each girl is supported individually, encouraged to aim high, and given space to grow in confidence. Our culture values both achievement and wellbeing, inside and outside the classroom.
