Joined in Faith through Music

We formed our partnership with Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School in the summer of 2021, with our first collaboration taking the form a concert, with choirs from both schools taking part. Both schools are known for our exceptional musical standards and professional performances, so it made perfect sense that we should work together to celebrate our faith and come together through music.
Together, our choirs sang the cinematic wash of colour and sound, Gjelio’s Luminous Night of the Soul. The Senior Chamber Choir performed with the tenors and basses of Schola Cantorum from Cardinal Vaughan. This moving, lush, symphonic work, describes the divine spirit of all art. The choirs then combined again to present us with a jazz version of a sung Mass by the Lithuanian composer Miškinis (b. 1954).

Academic Collaboration

We have also brought other academic departments together from both schools, starting with Modern Foreign Languages. Reciprocal visits have taken place to observe teaching and learning and share best practice.
